‘THE PLAN WAS ALWAYS TO WIN’ TALLAWAHS COACH CHANDERPAUL

Despite playing against his hometown fans, Jamaica Tallawahs Head Coach Shivnarine Chanderpaul said the plan was always to come out with a victory against the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Playing in Qualifier Two of the Hero CPL, the Tallawahs piled up 226, the highest CPL total at Providence, on the back of a blistering hundred from Shamarh Brooks and 41 off 15 from Imad Wasim.
The victory secured Tallawahs a spot in Friday’s final at the same venue against Barbados Royals, starting at 19:00h.
Speaking exclusively to News Room after the game, Chanderpaul said the Tallawahs are now in a good space ahead of the championship contest.
