MORE INVRSTMENT IN PRIVATE SECTOR, LESS FINANCIAL AID AS GUYANA ECONOMY TRANSFORMS EU AMBASSADOR

With one of the fastest growing economies in the world, Guyana is expected to see a decrease in direct funding and instead an increase in investments in the private sector by European Union (EU). This is according to the new EU Ambassador to Guyana René Van Nes, who, during an interview on Thursday, said that Guyana’s relationship with the bloc will evolve from one where the EU funds developing projects to a relationship of partnership between equal partners.
