MASSIVE TURNOUT AT CHINA’S 5TH INTERNATIONAL IMPORT EXPO

Dubbed the world’s largest international Import Exposition, the People’s Republic of China received a massive turnout on the first day of the event, which is being held in Shanghai – the country’s main economic hub.
Shanghai has faced its fair share of lockdowns and strict measures to curb the spread of the Coronavirus since 2020, but Saturday’s event proved that China remains committed to opening up to the world while keeping a close eye on ensuring its people are safe.
The country’s fifth international Import Expo will last until November 10; it provides a platform for companies around the world to display their products and promote their brands.
As many as 284 companies on the Fortune 500 list are participating in the event. The News Room’s Fareeza Haniff is in Shanghai and spoke with some exhibitors.
